LCVS LTD – Terms & Conditions for Vehicle Sales, Standard Dealer Terms and Reservation Policy

1. Definitions
- Seller / Company - LCVS LTD, based in Croydon.
- Customer - any individual or business purchasing a vehicle from LCVS LTD.
- Vehicle - the car offered for sale by LCVS LTD.
- Reservation Fee - a payment made by the Customer to temporarily reserve a vehicle.

2. Standard Dealer Terms (UK)

2.1. Vehicles Sold with Warranty
- All vehicles sold by LCVS LTD include a 1-6 month warranty, depending on the age, mileage and value of the vehicle.
- The Customer is encouraged to inspect the vehicle and may arrange an independent inspection prior to purchase.
- The warranty covers only the components and systems specified in the warranty document provided to the Customer.
- The warranty does not cover faults caused by misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear.

2.2. Vehicle Mileage
- Unless stated otherwise, the mileage is believed to be correct based on available documentation.
- LCVS LTD does not guarantee mileage authenticity unless explicitly confirmed in writing.

2.3. Test Drives
- A valid driving licence must be presented before any test drive.
- The Customer is responsible for any damage caused during the test drive if resulting from their actions.

2.4. Deposits and Payments
- All deposits are non‑refundable, unless otherwise agreed or if a hidden defect is discovered.
- Payments may be made via bank transfer, cash, or any other method accepted by the Seller.

2.5. Vehicle Documentation
- Vehicle documents (V5C, MOT certificate, service history if available) are provided on the day of collection.
- Lack of full service history does not constitute grounds for complaint or cancellation.

2.6. Warranty (1-6 months + optional external warranty providers)
- Vehicles are sold with a 1-6 month in‑house warranty depending on the vehicle’s condition.
- Customers may purchase an additional extended warranty from third‑party warranty providers recommended by LCVS LTD.
- External warranties are governed by the terms of the warranty provider and are not controlled by LCVS LTD.

2.7. Seller’s Liability
The Seller is not liable for:
- consumable wear items (e.g. brake pads, discs, tyres, fluids),
- faults arising from improper use after purchase,
- damage occurring after the vehicle has been collected.

2.8. Returns
- Vehicles cannot be returned after purchase unless required by law or if a hidden defect is confirmed.

3. Vehicle Reservation Policy

3.1. Reservation Fee
- A Reservation Fee may be paid to secure a vehicle for a limited period.
- Once paid, the vehicle will not be sold to another customer during the reservation period.
- The Reservation Fee is non‑refundable, unless a hidden defect is discovered that was unknown to the Seller.

3.2. Vehicle Collection Deadline
- The Customer must collect the vehicle within 7 working days from the date the Reservation Fee is paid.
- A different collection date may be agreed individually between the Customer and the Seller.
- Failure to collect the vehicle within the agreed timeframe may result in cancellation of the reservation and retention of the Reservation Fee.

3.3. Customer Cancellation
If the Customer changes their mind and cancels the purchase without any hidden defect being present:

- LCVS LTD will charge 1.5% of the vehicle value + VAT as compensation for loss of potential sale and for removing the vehicle from the market.
- This amount will be deducted from the Reservation Fee.
- If the Reservation Fee is lower than the 1.5% + VAT charge, the Customer must pay the remaining balance.

3.4. Hidden Defects
- If a hidden defect is discovered that significantly affects safety, value or usability, the Customer is entitled to a full refund of the Reservation Fee.
- A hidden defect is defined as a fault not visible or known at the time of reservation.

4. Completion of Sale
- Once the Customer accepts the condition of the vehicle, full payment must be made within the agreed timeframe.
- Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the reservation and retention of the Reservation Fee in accordance with section 3.3.

5. Jurisdiction
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be handled by the appropriate courts in England.
